During the preparation, the Relay, and the (wet) aftermath I was posting ‘tweets’ on twitter. These are short (140 character limit each) post on a site called twitter. I have been posting as jimindc and using this to try and publicize the STARS program and blog. In the June 10th edition of The Capital our STARS Coordinator was quoted talking about using social media (web 2.0) and future successes. The article (here) starts quoting Mrs. Coliton about 1/2 way down the page under the setion title Connect!

I just wanted to let you know that there is now a Starswatcher on twitter. For now it is set up to post a tweet when there is a new post on this blog. So if you want to get a quick , message whenever there is a new post on the blog, all you have to do is follow starswatcher on twitter.
